Everything you need to get the most out of Rehearsal Studio™

User Guide

Getting started & your first rehearsal session

  • Choose a plan and create your account. Every plan includes a set number of sessions a month — Drop-In starts at 3. You can also buy a single session for $19 without subscribing.
  • After signing up, pick how you want to practise. You can switch between the two modes any time.
  • Choose a topic for your session. Nothing is recorded at this stage.
  • On the next screen you will see exactly what gets recorded and how long it is kept. Press "Turn on camera & begin" when you are ready, then allow your browser's camera and microphone request.
  • Speak naturally — there are no buttons to press. A natural pause ends your turn, and the interviewer answers within a couple of seconds.
  • When you are done, press "End & get feedback". Keep the tab open for a minute while your video saves and your feedback is written.

Recording on camera & how the AI feedback works

  • A session runs up to 30 minutes, with a countdown on screen. With your camera on, Rehearsal Studio™ records video of your session so you can watch back how you came across.
  • Still pictures from your recording are read by AI to give you feedback on presence, eye contact, framing, and energy. It never comments on your appearance.
  • Your audio is turned into text as you speak, and the AI runs the interview using a world-class interviewer's actual methodology.
  • Coaching tips appear in the sidebar during the session — only you can see them, never the "interviewer."
  • You can turn your camera off at any point during a session; the interview and your feedback carry on without the picture.
  • If the interviewer's voice is unavailable, her questions still appear as text and the session works as normal. A message on screen tells you when that happens.

Reading your feedback

  • Every finished session ends with written feedback and an overall score out of 100. Higher is better.
  • Words per minute shows whether you were racing or dragging.
  • Filler words are the ums, uhs, and "you know"s. You can click any one of them to jump to that moment in your video.
  • Your opening score rates whether your first 30 seconds made the audience lean in.
  • Storytelling checks whether you gave real examples or just described things in general terms.
  • "Connecting with listeners" and "clear next step" show how directly you spoke to the audience and whether you told them what to do next.
  • At the bottom you get one thing to work on next time. Your next session is steered towards giving you practice at exactly that.

The two ways to practise

  • Guest Mode (all plans): you are the guest, and the AI plays the interviewer — using their real script, questions, and voice. Practise your story until it lands.
  • Host Mode (Practice, Pro, Signature plans): you are the host, and the AI plays a guest character — each with their own personality, expertise, and way of making an interview hard work.
  • In Host Mode you also get coaching on your question quality and how much of the airtime you are taking, plus a surprise question dropped in mid-session.

Plans & billing

  • Drop-In ($39 a month): 3 sessions a month. Something specific is coming up and you want to be ready.
  • Practice ($69 a month): 6 sessions a month. You are working on this regularly, from both sides.
  • Pro ($99 a month): 12 sessions a month. This is part of how you work.
  • Signature ($249 a month): 30 sessions a month. You prepare other people, not just yourself.
  • Single Session ($19): One full session, recorded, with the complete debrief. No subscription.
  • Need more than your plan includes in a given month? Buy a Single Session for $19. It is used automatically once your monthly sessions run out, and it never expires.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly.
  • To change or cancel your plan, open Settings and press "Manage billing" in the Subscription box. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Privacy & your recordings

  • Session recordings are private and visible only to you (and, if you belong to a coaching program, its administrators).
  • Recordings are deleted automatically and permanently 15 days after the session. You do not have to do anything.
  • Want a recording gone sooner? Email support@theunfairai.com and we will remove it for you.
  • Rather not be filmed at all? Turn your camera off once the session starts. You still get the full interview and written feedback, just without the on-camera part.
  • Your data is never used for advertising, training public AI models, or shared with third parties.

Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Go to the sign-in page and click "Forgot password". Enter your email and we'll send you a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact support.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings, then press "Manage billing" in the Subscription box and choose to cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that.

Who can see my video recordings, and when are they deleted?

Recordings are private to you (plus program administrators if you're part of a coaching program). They are deleted automatically and permanently 15 days after the session — you do not have to do anything. If you want one removed sooner, email support@theunfairai.com.

The app can't access my microphone or camera. What do I do?

Click the small camera icon next to your browser's address bar and choose "Allow" for this site, then press "Turn on camera & begin" again. If the app says something else is using your camera, close Zoom, Teams, or any other browser tab that has it open. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, or Safari, and refresh the page after changing the permission.

My session finished but there is no video to watch. What happened?

The video is uploaded when you press "End & get feedback", so a dropped connection or closing the tab too early can stop it from saving. Your written feedback is created separately and should still be there. If a video fails to save more than once, email support@theunfairai.com.

The interviewer is not speaking out loud. Is it broken?

No. If the voice is unavailable, the session switches to text — the questions appear on screen and you answer as normal. A message tells you when this happens. You can also switch yourself between speaking and typing with the Voice/Text button at the top of the session screen.

How do I upgrade or change my plan?

Open Settings and press "Upgrade" in the Subscription box, then pick the plan you want. Moving up to a bigger plan takes effect straight away; moving down starts at your next billing date.

Does the AI feedback replace professional media training?

No — the coaching is AI-generated and intended for practice. It's a rehearsal space, not professional media training, coaching, or career advice.

How long is a session?

Up to 30 minutes. A countdown on screen shows the time remaining, and you get a heads-up when 5 minutes are left. If you reach 30 minutes the session wraps up on its own and still produces your full recording and debrief — nothing is lost. You can also end a session early at any time; a shorter session still counts as one session against your monthly allowance.

Can I practise without being on camera?

Yes. Start the session, then press "Camera" at the top of the screen to switch the picture off. You still get the full spoken interview and your written feedback — you just will not get the notes on how you looked on camera.

How do I contact support?

Email support@theunfairai.com and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can. Include the email address on your account so we can find you faster.
